Abayomi Shogbade is a portrait, fine art photographer and art director from Ogun State, Nigeria, currently based in Swansea, United Kingdom. With over eight years of professional experience, Abayomi’s work delves into the rich tapestry of African mythology, culture, and traditions, capturing the essence of natural beauty and human expression. Abayomi’s narrative skill, combined with his keen eye for composition, has resulted in an extensive portfolio. As a self-taught artist, Abayomi’s journey began at Grait International College in Ota, Ogun State, where he graduated as one of the top students in the WASSCE. In 2010, he was admitted to the University of Lagos to study Microbiology, completing both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. Despite his scientific pursuits, his passion for photography remained steadfast, leading him to transform his hobby into a professional career by 2016. Beyond his photography, Abayomi is an accomplished art director, bringing a unique vision and cohesive style to his projects.
